what the fucking hell?

Even as the explosions thundered over Baghdad, the people came in their hundreds and then in their thousands. Entire families, crippled old men supported by their sons, children beside them, babies in the arms of their mothers, sisters and aunts and cousins.

I really didn't expect anyone to take this voting thing even remotely seriously. Hard to believe people would go vote when a huge majority of the population despises the occupation. That's good. It's just too bad that it will still only end up being completely controlled by 'rumsfeld and the gang'

I wonder how the propaganda line will go now. I guess probably still the same "We're here because the gov't is asking us to be here, and asking us to continue to bomb Iraqi cities to rubble. Why else would we be here?"

One death is a tragedy. 1,000 deaths is a statistic.
